Stefanie Hubbard
Staff Accountant
I declared my desire to become an accountant on my third birthday so my favorite aunt would no longer have to work on my birthday because “I would help her be done before that last tax filing deadline of the year and she could spend the day celebrating with me instead”. Here I am some 40 years later having fulfilled my desire to be an accountant having followed in the family footsteps, only now I am working alongside my aunt on that last deadline of the year; at least I am still spending time with my favorite aunt!
After taking an accounting class in high school my love of accounting was solidified and I truly knew this is what I wanted to do. Working in the restaurant industry after high school I always gravitated towards the operational side increasing my knowledge of how important good bookkeeping is to the success of any business. I began working with my aunt part time, while raising my four children, and learning “the ropes” from Gloria and her assistant Debbie. I started to take on bookkeeping jobs for her small business clients which I have continued as we merged with Williamson & Associates. I look forward to continuing to increase my knowledge with the firm.
I truly enjoy the personal relationships I have made with our clients while assisting them throughout the years. Each day I have the continuity of the basic accounting process but the unique challenge that each client poses within their business. From the simple to the complex each individual provides a puzzle for me to solve and a greater knowledge of the foundation that keeps those businesses successful.
Away from work I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children. You might find me in my garden or hiking the great northwest.
